ReviewGate — End-User License Agreement

ReviewGate ("the Software") is provided free of charge by its author ("the Author"). By downloading, installing or using the Software, you accept these terms.
1. Licence granted
You are granted a free, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Software:
- for any purpose, including commercial use within your organisation;
- on any number of machines, by any number of people;
- with no account, no registration and no activation.
No fee is charged for the Software. You pay your model provider directly, under your own agreement with them.
2. What you may not do
- redistribute the Software for a fee, or as part of a paid product or service;
- provide the Software to third parties as a hosted or managed service;
- modify, disassemble, decompile or reverse engineer the Software, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- remove or obscure copyright, licence or authorship notices;
- move, change, disable or circumvent the licence key mechanism.
Redistributing the Software unmodified and free of charge — for example, mirroring the binaries inside your own network — is permitted and encouraged.
3. Ownership
The Software is licensed, not sold. All rights in the Software remain with the Author. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to the source code, which is not published.
4. Your code and your model
The Software runs on your own infrastructure and sends your code only to the model provider you configure, using your own key. The Author receives nothing: no telemetry, no diffs, no source code. You are responsible for your agreement with the model provider and for what you choose to send to it.
5. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Review findings are produced by probabilistic models: they can be wrong, incomplete or misleading. You decide whether a finding applies to your code, and every merge decision remains with your team.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Author shall not be liable for any damages arising out of the use of, or inability to use, the Software — including lost profits, lost data, or defects that a review failed to detect.
7. Term and termination
This licence applies for as long as you comply with it. If you breach it, the licence terminates automatically, and you must stop using the Software and delete your copies.
8. Changes to these terms
The Author may publish new versions of these terms. The version in force is the one distributed with the release you installed; a new version applies from the release that carries it.
